All About Me!
My name is Christy Warne and I am beginning my 18th year of teaching Kindergarten. My first four years were at Columbus Elementary in Tulsa and I’m beginning my 12th year here at Stone Canyon.
I graduated from the University of Tulsa with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and a minor in Early Childhood Intervention. After working with children in a clinical setting, I decided that I wanted to try and also work with kids in more of a classroom setting. I returned to school at Northeastern State University and then took classes part-time at OSU-Tulsa and NSU-BA while getting married and then becoming a mom. I then received all of my credentials to become certified in Early Childhood Education. I love what I do each and every day and the growth that takes place in one short year is amazing and rewarding!
I’ve been married to my wonderful husband Kevin for 22 years and we have 3 amazing boys! Leyton is 20 and just finished his first year at TCC, he is currently taking courses to become a pilot, Ryken is 17 and is a Senior at Owasso High School and Camden is 12 and is in the 6th grade.
